Does anyone have stock of the original blue tank decals..?

This one:

After a disaster with the re-paint on my V1000 tank, I'm in desperate need of one (or more).

If you can help, please contact me ASAP.

Thanks

Hi Rob.

Many thanks for getting back to me.  Colin Evans has also been in touch and I think I'm all sorted.

Fingers crossed that Royal Mail's finest get them here in good order... :-\

Good news Jeff,

I have got ten pairs but the originally clear edges have gone yellow now with age, and I bet they would fall apart if I tried sliding them off the paper. I do have a company that does perfect vinyl copies now and, for instance, a pair of tank chickens cost ten pounds!

Looking forward to reading your next instalment,

Hi Rob;

The ones I had were also yellowed around the edges, but they worked fine after soaking...

Unfortunately, inclusions in the lacquer meant the tank has to be done again  >:(

Paul S has offered help with some vinyl versions from Tommy Hill, but I'd be happy to consider other alternatives...

Interestingly, my painter noted that the lacquer hadn't properly adhered to the waterslide transfers, so if that ends up as the only solution, I'll need to investigate what went wrong there...

All fun and games, eh..?
