After the nasty shock I got when attempting to buy a new Sprag from Eric's earlier this year, I decided to research availability elsewhere and I've managed to get a small batch of sprags imported from sunnier climes...

They're Part Number GP 4972 (4C) with 22 elements and 4 clips and they're form, fit and function compatible with the following:

Hesketh Part. No. 126-122
Renold Part. No. REGP 4972 (4C)
Borg-Warner Part.No. BWX 1310003
Formspragg-Steiber Part. No. DC 4972 (4C)
Ringspann Part. No. 3677.049.602.000000

I have limited stock, so first come, first served...  Cost is £54.80 including insured, signed-for postage to your door (in UK).  (£2.00 postage discount if two ordered as one package).  Each one comes in rust-inhibiting packaging with a full data sheet included.

If any of our non-UK members woulk like one (or more) please let me have your postal address and I'll work out what the shipping costs will be for you.

Let me know via Personal message or e-mail and I'll try my best to get you sorted for Christmas... ;-)

Cheers

Jeff

Good work Jeff,

Just shows the demand there is for bits, if you go to the trouble of sourcing them.

Any "indication" of the next items you might offer for sale?

Thanks Dave;

I'm quite happy to source bits and pieces like these as it all helps to keep my own bike on the road...  Sourcing them in 'batches' helps drive the per-item cost down, lets me keep a couple on my own shelves and then pass on savings to HOC members too...

Next up is a (very) small batch of rear drive sprockets:

Made from hardened steel, they're 530 x 46T, made to fit the original V1000 rear wheel, modified to accept the 1/2" dowel added as part of the 'EN10' collection of updates...  I need to sort packaging and postage costs (they're heavy).

I'm also sourcing swing-arm bearings.  Quality Timken items are widely available, but at huge variations in cost...  Once I have sourced those at a good price, I'll be able to pass on a small number of 'chassis bearing' kits, including the rare, expensive, steering head bearings that I brought in from USA last year...

Busy, busy...  ;D

Good news Jeff.

Please put my name down for a chassis bearing set. Will the swingarm bearings include the SKF type bolt, nut and tab washers etc.?

Thanks,

Robert

And I am definitely interested in two sprockets.

No problem Robert.

Unfortunately, no... Just the bearings...

I had thought the 'bolt', spacer, tab-washer and peg-nut were all Hesketh parts:

Hesketh Pt No. -  Description
     1500-1050  -  Pivot Bolt (x2)
     1500-1063  -  Pre-Load Washer (x2)
     1500-1064  -  Tab-Washer (x2)
     1500-1065  -  Locknut (x2)

After the debacle I experienced with having to take the engine out to change the gearbox sprocket, I was wondering if there is a way to re-engineer the two swing-arm pivot and bearing assemblies such that they screw in from the outside of the frame..?  I thought that perhaps a single taper roller could be used, with a pivot having a smaller diameter end section that would pass through the frame thread and taper-roller and into a deep-grooved 'outrigger' bearing, replacing the inner taper-roller.

Just thinking out loud really...  :-\

The 'frame kit' I was going to assemble will have six bearings, and six races.  The bearings will be 2 x head-race and 4 x swing-arm and all six races will be identical...  I'm hoping that they'll all be top quality Timken items, but prices ain't what they used to be... :o

I'll get around to weighing the sprockets Julf...  It may be more cost effective for you to come to Scotland and get them...  ;)

I guess you could just pack them in a bunch of styrofoam and chuck them in the sea - they will end up on the beach here :)
