Fuel Tank for Sale

I've been asked to post details of a V1000 fuel tank that is offered for sale.

Details are a little sketchy just now, but I'll add to this post as more info becomes available.  It's a Black tank with gold coach-lines.  It appears to be 'used' (although that can't be confirmed) and has quite a few marks.  Details from the seller (not a HOC member) are as follow:

"I have 'inherited' a Hesketh Motorcycle petrol tank from my brother that I know very little about...  (Photos attached).  There is a very small rust spot on the top, a paint bubble and a scratch - shown in photo...  I'd like to save it from the metal recycling skip if possible! I'm located in Guildford, Surrey."















Update - 11/07/2016:

The seller has confirmed that there are no keys to the tank cap and that the cap is locked shut.  This isin't the 'end of the world' and details of the tank lock, keys are already posted to this forum - here:  It is uknown whether the tank has ever been used and the marks on the tank have occurred during many years of storage.  Buyer collection (Guilford, Surrey) preferred but delivery (within Surrey) could be arranged.

Mrs Baillie-Lambert  has said that she'll wait a week, or so, before listing the tank on Ebay, so don't be too tardy in mulling it over folks...
