Title: Spoke wheel Vampire
Post by: Andygbsmith on February 24, 2014, 12:45:44 PM
Well after my rear Astralite wheel failure in Germany, I decided that if I am going to use the bike as intended
I would have to do something about them.
So the first (I think) spoke wheeled Vampire is fully dry built and sat in my garage.
I am waiting on the brakes being built to my spec and am yet still undecided about master cylinders,
Pictures to follow shortly if I can work out how to upload them.
Andy.

Hi Andy.

You need to host photos in some online webspace (Photobucket, Flickr, etc) and then link from there to the forum...

Or

e-mail the photos to webmaster@heskethownersclub.org.uk and I'll add them to the Hesketh Gallery (http://gallery.heskethownersclub.org.uk/#home) and post a link for you...

Question for anyone with a spoke wheel Hesketh,
What is the rear sprocket size and does the bike still use a 530 chain?

Hi Andy;

Mick used the wheels from the 955i Triumph Tiger for the spoke conversion...

The Tiger comes with a 46T rear sprocket as standard and smaller ones are available, but I've not seen 48T listed... Wouldn't be a problem for most manufacturers though.

The chain remains 530 (I recommend DID 530VM or ZVM).
