Title: NEW ASTRALITE WHEELS
Post by: Scott on August 04, 2014, 02:17:35 PM
HOC Member,

Although Robert Bennett is progressing things with Talon for a good looking rebuild solution (spoked wheels), we have found that Rennstar (Astralite Wheel manufacturers) can carry out a "nut and bolt" modification.
Alternatively, they can supply a new 17x3.5" rear at £560 each and will start production of new 19" wheels with minimum order quantity of 15 (£670 each). So the total price for a new set of Astralite wheels of exactly the correct size with the new stainless rivets £1,230 (including the VAT) but ONLY if we have 15 customers.

If you would consider a new set of Astralite wheels, please let me know ASAP.

Regards,

Scott

Sorry, but I can't see the point in spending all that money to be in the same position in a few years time.
These wheels where designed for racing and not the road.
I converted the Vampire for considerably less then a new set of Astralites.

This seems to be a tradition in Hesketh manufacture,  I'm sure the new carbon wheels on the 24 will go the same way.

Having had a rear fail at speed two up I would not ride on the standard wheels again.
Just my opinion.
