First of Many, I hope...  You've probably seen the article in Sock 112...  If not, here is the 'Interesting Item':

As you lot have completely failed in the attempt to identify the object in the interest of historical accuracy I will tell you!!!!

Its a wheel.

To be more accurate its a wheel casting which has yet to be machined.

Its year is 1980

It looks very similar to other wheels of that period but the special bit was the fact that its the only time the Lord made a direct styling decision in creating the bike only to be quietly told it had been done somewhere else but they only found the resolve to pass on this profound news after the thing was cast.

We then moved on to Astalites  and the rest is history as they say , the manufacturer was one Tony Dawson who after a very short while was rechristened by the team Les Dawson for some reason.

Merry Christmas , back from a successful Dubai and now going to Portugal so don't get cold while I am gone.
