It is not clear whether the mods were ever deployed to production or whether they were just on Mick's prototype bike.

Added timing cover drawing for reference.

Quote from: Hesketh Rider on December 23, 2024, 11:15:06 PMHi Jeff i have finally managed to get on to the forum hoping to open up some photos of the inside of one of these hesketh engines . your valve clearance post seemed as good as any , however when i click on pic it opens up something about sky holidays 2024 , internet carrier near me , and iphone holiday deals any idea whats going on or is it me

Hi Mark.

Nope. My old website was taken down a wee while ago, so pic links now lead to 'wherever'. I'll try and go through the forum and correct links, where possible. May take some time though...🙄

Maintenance, Repairs, Upgrades and Improvements / Re: Sprag
Last post by Miti - August 06, 2025, 10:17:11 AM
Hi Jack. The original Sprag replacement write-up I did was based on my own bike. Turns out my prototype engine hasn't got the wire circlip that holds the Sprag in-situ, so I never mentioned it...

That circlip needs prising out before the Sprag will come out.

Hope you realised this before now?

Dave,
Based on my experience most Triumph's with Nissin rear callipers such as the 955i and 1050 Tiger etc use the Nissin rear master cylinder with a 14mm piston. The thickness of the disc and pad material is also critical.
You may wish to try a second-hand Nissin Triumph 14mm master cylinder with remote reservoir before investing in a PS15 as I believe the Nissin plunger piston stroke is also longer.

Hesketh Bits and Pieces Wanted / Re: LH Mirror
Last post by HOCAdmin - June 20, 2025, 03:13:07 PM
Hi Jack, I feel your pain with the side stand.  I believe the original Bumm-Spiegel part number was 926/37 but have not seen any around for a while. They were used on some early 80's Honda, BMW, Suzuki and Kawasaki's.

There are some similar Kawasaki Z900 replica's about if you can't find an original in the interim.

Regards
Richard

Slipped off side stand today and broke LH Mirror arm. Anyone able to help or point me in the right direction. Would be much appreciated.

On the Vulcan V1200 the Brembo PS12 rear brake master cylinder drives into a Nissin (Triumph) slave cylinder/caliper.

The rear brake lever travel with this pairing is too great.

If I were to change from PS12 to PS15 more brake fluid would be pumped for the same amount of piston travel and therefore reduce lever travel.

Does this make sense? Its an expensive experimant so appreciate expert views before committing.

Hi Jack,  the HOC has had a limited batch of the original Reynold Sprag clutches part number REGP4972 manufactured.  I will send you the details via a separate e-mail.

The details are also in the Winter SOCK.
