Suspected sprag failure. Perfect, start on the button. Then, starter turning but no start. Has to be sprag I'm guessing.
In which case I could do with advice on which sprag I need and suggested supplier. Very odd as no back fire or anything to indicate cause. Any help, advice much appreciated. Thanks

Hi Jack,  the HOC has had a limited batch of the original Reynold Sprag clutches part number REGP4972 manufactured.  I will send you the details via a separate e-mail.

The details are also in the Winter SOCK.

Thanks for all help.
Now have new sprag ready to fit but the old one won't slide out.
I expected it would having changed it a few years ago.
Any tips re removing the blighter will be a great help
Thanks to anyone that can help!!!

Hi Jack. The original Sprag replacement write-up I did was based on my own bike. Turns out my prototype engine hasn't got the wire circlip that holds the Sprag in-situ, so I never mentioned it...

That circlip needs prising out before the Sprag will come out.

Hope you realised this before now?
