Hi All

Slight change to the June 2013 Sock, if your coming to the September Camping down in Surrey and want Goodwood Revival tickets, please order them yourselves ASAP. The reason for this is that if I wait for replies I could well be too late to get them.

Please dont delay in ordering as they sell out extremely quickly.

Click Here to open the Goodwood Revival Ticket Web-Page

However please do let me know if your coming so I can arrange food etc.

Here's the latest info on the HOC Rally/Goodwood Revival, recently circulated by our Hon. Chairperson, Scott, by e-mail.  If you didn't receive the e-mail, please Contact Dave Hartell, our Hon. Secretary to update your e-mail details.

Dear HOC Member,

HOC ANNUAL RALLY 13-15th SEPTEMBER 2013
This years' HOC Rally, as I hope you already know, and thanks to Tig, will be held at the Merry Harriers – a 16th Century Public House (Tig's local!) - which is located in the beautiful South Downs, Surrey.  The address is as follows:

Merry Harriers
Hambledon Road,
Hambledon,
GU8 4ADTel:  01428 682883

Location & Accommodation:

The pub is situated on the B2150, which can be accessed from either the A32 or A3, and has its own campsite which has been booked for the Rally.  Although hotel / B&B accommodation is available elsewhere (nearest major towns are Havant and Petersfield) it may prove difficult to find the closer it is situated to Goodwood, Chichester.

Itinerary:

  • 13th September:      arrive at the Merry Harriers* (see below) for meet up drinks and dinner for about 8.30pm
  • 14th September:      depart Merry Harriers for ride out to Goodwood at 10.30 a.m.
  • 14th September:      arrive at Goodwood for lunch and for presentation of the 'best bike at the event, then split off into one of two groups.
  • Group 1 (who have pre-arranged entry tickets) will stay and enjoy the atmosphere of the Revival; whilst
  • Group 2 will ride off on a delightful route through the South Downs.
  • 14th September:      arrive at Tig's at 7pm for BBQ & drinks until late...
  • 15th September:      breakfast and wave off from the Merry Harriers.
* Anyone wishing to arrive early can go directly to Tig's house (details below)

Best Bike Award:

This will take place at Goodwood before people depart to either look around the event or the ride out; however, the judge has yet to be identified!

Summary:This should be another superb Rally / weekend gathering of the HOC!  Therefore, please come, enjoy, and add your support to the Club. I hope to see a good turn out from the Membership, especially those of you situated in the South East of England, whether you're on a Hesketh or not!

Please indicate your intentions, including where you will be staying, so that Tig and I can keep a track of prospective numbers and accommodation locations.  Look forward to seeing you all there!
