I have been trying to make my garage a little bit more interesting and have been decorating it with some signs one of which is a large, heavy, illuminated Hesketh sign, probably out of a showroom.  It must be the most over engineered display sign I've ever seen!  It simply has the word 'Hesketh' and a shield/crest and is double sided.  I seem to remember a similar one on the Hesketh Owners stand at the Stafford Show.  Can anyone tell me where they were used and if it is purely motorcycle related or if it might also have been used during the car racing era?

Original 'dealer' sign...

That's the one, were they a common sign, if so the cost of making them can't have helped Heskeths finances?!

Along with the ones Hesketh MCs had for their own use, I believe each of the nominated dealers were given at least one.  Maybe a question that Mr Broom could answer better?

Anybody know how many dealers there were.  I'm interested to know how many signs may have been produced and if it is rare.

It was something we never got involved with but believe that the signs were organised as part of the dealer pack that as offered together with workshop tools and spares which the factory thought were needed.
Tim Stevens was the man involved and some bits had us scratching our heads like the two con rods which were part of the deal.
I may be able to find out how many dealers were listed but not how many bought the kit when I return to the UK
