That was a deliberate committee decision, made some years ago.  I believe the intention was to provide spares to HOC members only, rather than anyone accessing the website.

That's a bit daft isn't it? Shouldn't the HOC and HOC spares be considered as a non-exclusive benefit and fountain of knowledge to all Hesketh Owners, professional restorers or motorcycle services, sales and repairers etc? Then offer a discounted price to HOC members? Only in that way can joining the HOC be seen to be of some tangible asset, rather than just as another social club.

Once upon a time I remember the HOC promoting its "oily hands" non-exclusivity in an attempt to rid the bike of the "snob" status it was stuck with, thanks to the predominantly left-wing motorcycle press... Now we are hobnobbing it with the likes of Vincent Owners and Bentley Drivers Clubs for goodness sake! What happened? ? ?

My comments were entirely "tongue in cheek" as I know from 34 years experience that the Committee moves in mysterious ways, slowly!
